I had an inkling of the cornerstone speech already, I just noticed there were economic implications (quite a bit of it entangled in slavery e.g. racism)
and can somewhat see the side of people who use the flag for southern pride. I just don't feel much like arguing, tbh.

What besides slavery and degradation of black people does the South have to historically boast about? The South was wholly developed physically, culturally and politically off the backs of enslaved labor. Hell, the same can be said for the North too.

So, no, I don't go for that line.

I can understand different territories respecting their heritage and wanting smaller government for determination.
HOWEVER:

- part of that chit was wanting human property. That's part of it. That part is racist.
So you can't fly that flag and THEN act like you don't understand why people would think it's racist.
