How can I raise my credit card limit (for future business purchase and to lower utilization percentage) without getting hit with a hard inquiry?

I was digging online and say Chase always does hard pulls for credit increases. Navy federal just reported a hard pull to one of the credit bureaus but not the other.

if you keep your chase card current and paying good they will raise automatically mine just got raised 6k without asking.

Anyone mess with the capital one venture card? They got two, a free one and a $95 one. I have a card from them, don't remember the name, maybe quicksilver, that I upgraded to the free card but upgrades don't get bonus offers like new cards. So I'm thinking of getting the $95 card. I need a travel card and my credit is somewhat decent, hopefully transunion updates soon with one of my CC that wasn't reported on there last I checked. But anyways, the venture card was giving like 10x points on hotels.com and a decent bonus offer for spending 3k within the first 3 months. Got a trip to Vegas I wanna take and maybe one to Toronto later in the summer. Plus I got an account with hotels.com for their program to collect nights. What's the consensus on this card? Not trying to get something that has a high annual fee or bad initial bonus.

When a credit card is fully paid off, what is a good suggestion? I know that keep building your savings is number one. But what do you do with the credit card? And let say that you want to use an online order, what shall you use instead of a credit card?

I been checking out Dave Ramsey videos and I am pumped up. Any other subscriptions I can check out?
I live off my credit cards. I buy everything on them and get cash back on every purchase. I pay my statement balance every month and pay no finance charges. I don't listen to Dave Ramsey when it comes to credit. Using credit responsibly nets you perks like cash back on purchases, extended warranties at no extra charge and other benefits.

The golden rule is never buy something on a credit card that you don't have the money in the bank to pay off before the statement due date. Where people get in trouble is using a credit card for things they don't have the money for at the time of purchase or things they flat out can't afford.

With what I do carrying a balance and getting finance charges ruins everything.

Discover just hooked me up with a $2600 credit increase:ahh:

Randomly decided to submit a request for one instead of waiting and they said I was approved?!:leon:

Got over a $5k limit on it now and a current balance of under $1k :ohlawd:
