The culture doesn't appreciate G-Unit enough and recognize them as a top hip-hop group.

I always thought they were kind of mid...

It was in that era where ever top rapper would put on their group after the made a spalsh. I am a Lloyd Banks fan, always looked at Yayo as 50's weed carrier. I got a lil more interested when they added Game but that was short lived. 1 good album don't make you a top hip hop group

I enjoyed Gunit albums/mixtapes more than Dipset and LOX..

I think the nostalgia and optics tipped the scales for LOX and Dipset for various reasons (50 clowned them all at every disagreement and their individual work levels weren't up to par without 50 imo)

Cause they are NOT.

They had to rely on Eminem before they crossed over.

Public Enemy, NWA, Wu Tang, Onyx, LOX, Dipset, De La Soul, and countless others blew up on their own and made everlasting impacts towards the culture itself.

G Unit was the last of the crack era NYC with weak beats and cliche punchlines. Went out on a wimper.
