How is the black community a matriarchy when black fathers are the most involved fathers?

“Involved father” =\= living in the same household as the child’s mother and child and running that household as the patriarch.

CDC Report on Fathers’ Involvement Proves that Black Dads are Most Involved and the Pew Research Center Reports that the Role of the American Dad is Changing | Carjie Scott Ed.D.

Even the report above notes that shared households households (where the black man is the patriarch) wasn’t considered in the study you’re citing.

How can a patriarchy exist if you’re not in the same household as your child and their mother? It’s unheard of.

If you do not live with your children and their mother you have no idea who your children really are and you have no say.

Some black men think they can overcome this obstacle but only those who are affluent can pull this off. And even then it is a HUGE risk. Most black men =/= affluent.

The best thing a man can do is choose the woman he impregnates wisely. Make her prove she is worthy of your nut do not give it freely.

Hahaha
The 4 part series is about women of different ethnicities. Episode 1 is, naturally, about Black women.

Dudes need to read articles instead of tweets.

Wait, so all this time, this study was only about a subset? Folks had me thinking it was across the board. That's what I get for not reading the source material.

Welp, I agree. Can't be a patriarch if you don't live with your kids.

Live your own life
It's like these women didn't have any conscious of celebrating black women's success on Father's Day. As if they weren't aware of the date
(Juneteenth and Father's Day) when the show was going to air on live tv. The show is going to receive a huge backlash and I wish it does because these shouldn't be celebrating their "black women only" triumph and success on a special holiday for men.

I think that study was deliberately made/construed to make black people feel better

Just looks like a group black women being acknowledged and acknowledging each other

:yeshrug:

Stacy Abrams bringing people out to vote changed a lot of the negative perceptions of black women. The only time I’d be bothered by stuff like this is if they start attacking black men
