This phenomenom is very common in Africa and the caribbean with families with a bread winner or those who have family members abroad. Their sense of entitlement is the absolute worst part.
They ask (scratch that, they demand) for money on a monthly and sometimes even bi weekly basis and as the " son" or "daughter" or " cousin" or nephew" you are almost required according to the fukked up culture to commit to being their montly source of income and God help you if you refuse or you will have the entire family on your neck.
My question is, how common is this problem in black American families or is it just an african and caribbean issue.
