The D.O.C is well before my time.
But, as a fan, I went back and heard all of the Golden age ('87-'92) classics.
The DOC was a standout, Especially production wise. I don't know what Dre was on, but gotdamn Funky Enough knocks.

One of the first rap songs i remember hearing when i was a youngin. Along with It Takes Two
d.o.c is the only rapper to get a full fledge album produced by dre...nothing but dre..not dj yella or anybody else but dre..
i remember dre sayin d.o.c was the perfect rapper..right pitch, cadence and could make an entire song in one take and it be perfect, said he didnt have to do anything, thats why he stood around dre durin the death row days.. no one could do it better..
it was an old interview on westcoast2k or dubcnn..where it was either ren or yella...hell might of been d.o.c but they said only time they ever seen a rapper one take a song and was playing..was funky enough n d.o.c..said he heard the beat he jus zoned out..

IMO DOC would have been widely regarded as one of the GOATS if not for the accident...That album was almost perfect (Beautiful But Deadly is the one song that I FF through still)...
