Whether you like love or hate him, with his credentials below that doesn’t warrant or deserve to be honored at professional sports games.

Charles James Kirk (October 14, 1993 – September 10, 2025) was an American conservative political activist, author, and media personality. He was executive director of the student organization Turning Point USA (TPUSA), which he co-founded in 2012 to promote conservative beliefs in high schools and on college campuses. He published a range of books and hosted The Charlie Kirk Show, a conservative talk radio program. In his later years, he became recognized as one of the most prominent voices of the populist MAGA movement in the Republican Party.

The Green Bay Packers held a moment of silence to honor conservative commentator Charlie Kirk prior to their "Thursday Night Football" matchup against the Washington Commanders on Sept. 11.

The Tennessee Titans had Kirk's picture (with his family) on the jumbotron for its moment of silence.

The Miami Dolphins had a moment of silence for Kirk, the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks "and any other victims of violence" along with a "prayer for unity in our country.

The New York Jets also honored Kirk, as did the Dallas Cowboys. Prior to the national anthem in New Orleans, the Saints observed a moment of silence.

The Kansas City Chiefs held a moment of silence prior to the national anthem but with no specific purpose. The Arizona Cardinals honored Kirk

The Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions did not have moments of silence for Kirk in the early window. In the late window, the Indianapolis Coltsalso opted not to.
