The
Green Bay Packers held a moment of silence to honor conservative commentator
Charlie Kirk prior to their "Thursday Night Football" matchup against the
Washington Commanders on Sept. 11.
The
Tennessee Titans had Kirk's picture (with his family) on the jumbotron for its moment of silence.
The Miami Dolphins had a moment of silence for Kirk, the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks "and any other victims of violence" along with a "prayer for unity in our country.
The New York Jets also honored Kirk, as did the Dallas Cowboys. Prior to the national anthem in New Orleans, the
Saints observed a moment of silence.
The Kansas City Chiefs held a moment of silence prior to the national anthem but with no specific purpose. The
Arizona Cardinals honored Kirk
The
Baltimore Ravens and
Detroit Lions did not have moments of silence for Kirk in the early window. In the late window, the
Indianapolis Coltsalso opted not to.
The NFL left it up to individual teams to have a moment of silence in honor of the slain Charlie Kirk, with a handful of clubs doing so.
