Just saw this tonight with the fam - hilarious, amazing 2D animation, dope soundtrack. Damn shame it wasn’t marketed well.
I completely forgot it was coming out. Definitely going to go see this. I think they want this to fail to justify them killing Coyote vs ACME

Ketchup Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation’s THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP: A LOONEY TUNES MOVIE will make its streaming debut FRIDAY, JUNE 27 exclusively on Max in the U.S. The film will debut on HBO linear on SATURDAY, JUNE 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Porky Pig and Daffy Duck venture to the big screen as unlikely heroes and Earth’s only hope when their antics at the local bubble gum factory uncover a secret alien mind control plot. Faced with cosmic odds, the two are determined to save their town (and the world!)... that is if they don’t drive each other totally looney in the process.

:wtf:

1. This was supposed to be a HBO MAX streaming exclusive back in 2021
2. Zaslav wanted to bury it via tax write off
3. Ketchup saves the movie and gets it distributed
4. Movie ends up making its budget despite virtually no marketing
5. HBO MAX is back and making this a streaming exclusive in 2025 (next month)

I’m more perplexed than anything :mindblown:

But again, sounds like good news for the IP so I’ll take it.
