They did..it was the first DC animated flick. This is supposed to be more faithful though.

why tf would i watch this? they already did a doomsday flick and idc about the black suit enough to peep. Guess i'll be skipping this one. Something i havent done for a DC animation in a loooooong time

That said I'm not particularly hype since this story has already been done plenty of times, and nothing in the trailer makes me think the story will go any differently.

the real movie they wanted to do is the reign of the supermen which is part 2.. problem is they couldn't do that story without the death again ... and besides this is in the new DCAU continuity

The DC animated movies are usually excellent and one of the rare things they do better than Marvel in the realm of tv and movies.
Some incredible films in that catalog.

DC Animated movies are good, but lets not get too carried away. They just do these more frequent then Marvel, thats IT,
Since 2014 they at minimum drop 4 animated films a year, the last 3 years alone dropped 18 compared to Marvel who only did 2 in the same timeframe.
