I don't hate The Decision itself, but some of the stuff leading up to it was corny

1) Lebron knew he was coming to the Heat, so it was stupid to just drag the whole thing out for as long as he did. He really wasn't conflicted and he didn't just wake up the day of and say "I'm gonna go to Miami". He been knew that.

2) Why would you set up meetings with teams that you know damn well have no chance at signing you. Lebron knew damn well that there was no way in hell he was signing with a team like the Clippers or the Nets. Why even meet with them? That's a waste of time. But then again that shouldn't be surprised, because these NBA players are like high school bytches that wanna get courted by every guy out there because they're attention whores

old head nba players were mad that Bron had the POWER to execute such a move

they never had it.

:umad:
Exactly

the cacs were furious that he made an executive decision like that

they wanted him to be a puppet that just puts a ball through the hoop and has no autonomy

The Decision is dead and buried. Bron made up for it once he came back home. The ring was just the icing on the cake for him.

If i'm LeBron:

1. first thing this morning I fly home and buy every LeBron jersey in the Cleveland area, then I set the fire river on fire

and burn all of said jerseys. Why? Because if you a basketball fan in Cleveland and don't already have my jersey,
that means you didn't want one - and fucc any new bandwagoners that want one now that I've purified this p*ssy-ass town
of failure.

2. I tell Elephant CAC and Chris Broussard to let these bytches know in 2 days (right before The Draft) there's gonna be a
"The Decision, Part II - Electric Boogaloo". It's gonna be televised on BET, and it's gonna be live from Magic City, and will
be broadcast at 2 AM.

fukk this narrative. The Decision didn't mean shyt 5 years ago. The media used this as a meme to shyt on Bron because they all felt cut out of the loop. Even ESPN shyts on Bron when they AIRED IT.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
THE DECISION raised millions of dollars for charity

THE DECISION took away the sports news outlets and media's power over the story of Lebrons decision

THE DECISION cost the media money in ad revenue to post stories riding off Lebron's decision

THE DECISION is demonized by the MEDIA

THE DECISION TO NOT LET THE MEDIA HAVE CONTROL OVER THE STORY LEAD TO BACKLASH

fukk EVERYONE WHO CRITICIZES LEBRON FOR THE DECISION, HE MADE MILLIONS FOR CHARITY :pacspit:
the decision was on espn... the main nikkas who criticize him for it

the decision was hated by the FANS of cleveland... hence them being the ones burning up his jersey and shunning him until he came back

the decision was stupid cause who the fukk in the history of all of sports does that? and if it was so amazing and great, why didn't he do it again?

he could have just gave the money to charity and called it a day.. he knew it'd be backlash so he set that up as a cushion for cleveland... they gave no fukks

yup that too

SAS announced this months in advance... the 3 players talked about joining up maybe 2 years before... miami started dumping space a year or so before... this was a plan that been in action

to go on tv and talk about "oh i didn't know i was going to leave until i woke up this morning" nikka please.. everyone knew what it was... a PR stunt to soften the blow of leaving your hometown

which is legal and fine and do what you want in life.... but then just do the shyt... like how you left miami... tell them you leaving in a statement and be out... what was all the theatrics for?

I was a Lebron fan before the decision but honestly I stanned him so hard after they demonized him for a fukking conference. Funny thing is I always felt he'd get at least three just didn't figure it be on my Warriors. :sadcam:

I'm a Lebron fan and had no problem with The Decision at all, but how did he take the power away from the media? It was broadcasted live on ESPN, giving them more power and generating far more revenue for them than a normal free agency announcement would make them or any other media outlet. And regardless of how he did it the media could still report it however they chose to. If he did it via Twitter like KD or just put out a press release the media would've had the same freedom to spin it however they decided to, and media outlets make money through ad revenue they didn't have to pay to post stories about Lebron. The stories they posted about Lebron made them money via companies wanting to advertise with them either on TV or the internet. ESPN sold commercials for far more than they would've normally sold for that time slot. Again I had no problem with The Decision, but your assessment is way off.
