It was in a somewhat similar case to this, where a prostitute sued the hotel for providing the space for her abuse.
By law and by the instructions given to us, there was no way the hotel was liable, but a couple of the women on the jury felt so bad for the sob story the girl and her lawyers presented, they just wanted to fight and give the girl money no matter what.
It was a civil trial so I wasn’t even mad at letting the girl have some money
