Dodgers TV announcer - This is the same guy that does the MLB games right? Got me watching this boring Dodgers/Padres matchup just to hear this dude Entertaining, great style, great voice got me curled up on the sofa wanting to hear old stories from this dude like :ahh:

I've searched the depths of my mind and I think he is Vin Scully, am I right :leostare:

Am i the only one that doesnt like Vin Scully :manny: what makes him so great his voice is annoying as shyt his calls really arent that great I dont get the love for him other then the fact that he's been doing it for so long maybe that gets people to put him on a pedestal he really doesnt add anything to the game.

You either love or hate his style of calling a game. I personally love the way he calls a game telling stories about the player or bringing up shyt about back in the day.

Gotta respect a Dude who does it all alone,No 2nd Commentator or a Team around him Just Solo

I love how he can just tell a FULL Story on say Kershaw and be done before the Pitch crosses the Plate,Its his Last Year so hopefully he does the WS

My earliest memories of Vin Scully on the regular were while playing MLB 98 on the PS1 when I was 15.

That game was groundbreaking & he killed it in that franchise.

I love the way he calls a game. Besides, he's a Bronx OG...originator of the Fordham play-by-play graduates.

John Andariese
Michael Kay
Mike Breen
Chris Carrino
Spero Dedes
Bob Papa
Jack Curry
Ryan Ruocco...just to name a few.

Fordham U pretty much has nearly every big NY broadcaster/anchor gig locked down (Chris Cuomo, Greg Kelly too).

Maybe I should've gone to Fordham. :damn:

I love his story about the Dodgers winning the Series in 1955, his call was really simple “Ladies and gentlemen, the Brooklyn Dodgers are the champions of the world.” Years later when asked about it, someone asked why he said what he said, did he plan it like that considering the Dodgers history of always coming up short in the WS and Scully said something along the lines of, if I said anymore I would have broke down and cried from happiness. From reading and talking to old time Brooklyn Dodger fans, I don't think a team as ever been more beloved by it's fan base. Talk to someone that remember the Brooklyn Dodgers and watch their eyes light up as they talk about them and then look at how crushed they look when they talk about them leaving.

As a Mets fan though, Scully will always have a special place in our hearts... "Little roller up along first....

I was betting on a Giants/Dodgers game ... the bet was all but lost in the 3rd inning and I wasn't even mad cause Vin Scully was calling the game.

You Dodger fans don't know how lucky you are.

As a Giants fan I hate all things dodgers including dull Vin Scully
