Wouldn't we feel the same way tho?:patrice:I've been thinking about this and I feel that on a instinctual level we care more about people within our group than those outside of it. If the shoe was on the other foot we wouldn't really care about white drug addicts either right?

Because we're talking about huge populations I have to speak in generalities here but trust me when I say that I'm being as objective as possible. Having spent considerable time in different regions of the world this is my take; white folks are as a whole the most selfish and least empathetic groups period. Whereas many Asian cultures commonly have three generations of the family living together with everyone serving distinct roles, whites see no shame in putting the people that raised them in a nursing home and never visiting until it's time bury them. While Africans and African-Americans tend to have a strong sense of taking care of their wider community, white people rarely look past their own vested interest or special group. They would then try to sell you this lie that everyone is inherently self-serving to the detriment of others and that that is the natural way of things. But human history shows that the only why we have progressed and gotten where we are today is by working together. We a naturally social species. The "white" way of doing things is an unnatural order and if more of the world follows their lead then we will ultimately end up with a collapse of civilization as we know it.

The only Black girl in my middle school class (we were separated based on "major work/honor" or "regular" class) stopped fukking with Black people entirely, and got addicted to heroin in high school.
:yeshrug:
This is one of the reasons Black people and communities she be far more proactive in controlling their image, not to Whites, but to ourselves. More proactive Black leaders during the Crack era would have been able to contain the issue and push for real treatment instead of the monstrosity of violent policing and hyper-imprisonment of Black peoples. The same for the "Drug War," this is what happens when you allow White people to be in control to this extent.

Yup. I find it hilarious when I read these stories about white people "concerned" with the heroin in their communities. Just watched a segment on the news about a white town 20 mins away from me having a town hall over their drug issue. Where was your concern when black people were dying and getting thrown in prison?
