Most influential urban R&B artist of the 2010s.

Debate me

Interesting you're posting this on the day Prince died because of all the artists who ripped him off, the Dream was the best. He even acknowledged he was Prince's son in his RIP post

  • thekingdreamI Lost a Father Today, We Lost a Father Today! I have nothing to say, Your music speaks for itself! Didn't see this coming. Rest and Give Heaven Hell for me! #missyoualready#Prince

But yeah, his Love trilogy still gets play from me, I haven't peeped much of his shyt since then though.

The commercial R&B game was about to die until this breh came through, John Legend was like the only dude delivering. Now everyone from pop to r&b to hiphop are making music that can be directly traced to his shyt.

Who'd he influence? I like a few of his songs, but I don't see the inspiration.
That sing-rap urban vibe

Kirko Bangz, Drake, Jeremih, Bryson Tiller, Weeknd, Tory Lanez, Trey Songz pop shyt, Chris Brown, etc.

You can't name an artist AFTER him who doesn't sound like him.
