No one sees any issue involving thought crime and confiscation of property merely on accusations without evidence? None?

Word this is the essence of it. An argument/disagreement with a wife or kids could get you. If a wife can call po-po about you hitting her when you didn't, you can get in jail with no problem and yet people don't believe any of this.

Then again TYPE...they believe everything I post is a conspiracy theory.

I'm not seeing a thought crime angle. Want to expand on that....

There is an 'accuser' and a judge.

Should I post from snopes.com( your favorite site) from a husband and wife and cat team who have no journalist credibility and google everything?

Act like a little bytch because you didn't vet your own sources, Brahs.

Because Japan and Australia have shown that it works.
2 many differences between Australia, Japan, and America to really compare them. Japan, a nation run by gangsters, and Australia a nation that had few homicides compared to America to begin with. Why no compare Switzerland to America and ask why do so many people have guns and there is no violence and compare them to Australia. I think it requires to much thinking so you you say ban guns and look at a 18 percent decrease in gun violence among civilians.

Please stop pushing your socialist garbage.

I don't know man, some of this looks too draconian. I understand a family member that has knowledge and interaction with an individual filing for a restraining order, or even being able to present evidence that a person needs the weapon temporarily confiscated, but the wording in this law is troubling and severely open to interpretation. Is just claiming the person is unstable good enough? Why does the law allow law enforcement to file for taking the weapon away?

With the the abuses by law enforcement and justice systems we have seen lately, putting a law such as this into their hands may be yielding them too much power. You have more faith in the police and judges than I do I suppose.

And you have the nerve to complain to any of us about not being "pro life" (the complete opposite of reality) when you place no interest in helping humans who are ACTUALLY alive!

You also demonstrate a complete lack of knowledge on Australia and Japan.
First, our firearm mortality rate was one quarter the rate of the US, correct. But since the gun control laws were passed 18 years ago it is now one tenth that of the US. This includes gun homicide, suicide and uninitentional. If you look at just gun homicide rates the US now has a 30 times higher rate. We had 13 mass shootings from 1978-1996. Guess how many mass shooting we have had from 1996-2014? 0.
Japan has two gun related homicides per year. In a population of 127.3 million. You really think that's a coincidence?

To be honest at this point I don't even think it is possible to get guns out of America. Too many religous right wingers who would go crazy in your country. But at the very least you need to implement in universal background checks and get rid of all the loopholes that have led to 40% of your gun sales made by sellers who aren't required to do a background check.
