Erick Sermon's production was clean and crisp. He musta had some access to the finest recording studio instruments and engineers in the biz at the time.
Was playing "You Gots The Chill" in my really bad Subaru speakers and shiit hit pretty good.
...but I need to be clear about what type of sound you're really talmbat here.
Because if you talmbat that E-Dub sound from Double Or Nothing to right before Insomnia, then i'm with you. Insomnia was "heavy boom bap", and he almost lost me there...
after that he came with the bouncy chit, and I rocks with it but it don't hit as hard.
You need a equalizer for all that old shyt.
just like you needed an equalizer back in the day.
To still hear it in the same top quality manner. it would have been heard in the hiphop party or in traffic.
Or at your house if you had the system, equalizer and output.
Get an equalizer.

Yes. Some guys used the boom bap so heavy that it outweighed everything production wise. By we loved the thump so much we favored the trunk rattle over the overall sound.
