Luke reads a series of Tweets from Jenn Dize of Courage News show a number of previously redacted FBI files on how the late great Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin was continuously targeted and harassed by the Bureau in the 1960s and 1970s under the suspicion of her associating with pro-communist "black extremists" like Angela Davis in order to stir up "racial unrest". During this time, many threats were made on Franklin's life. Luke mentions how a common Red Scare tactic by the FBI, other law enforcement agencies and the media was to use such inflammatory terms when referring to revolutionary leftist and black organizations in order to de-legitimize and dismantle them.
