Alright back with another 1 :takedat: Just like previous times, you nominate the 10 films the apply to the thread, I'll choose the 5 most nominated and we will vote which one features the best cinematography.

Now for this, you can nominate films that feature some of the greatest framing, use of colors, set pieces or locations, creative shots, and etc. No documentaries or animated films. I'm thinking a week (maybe 2) for nominations and another 2 for voting. Also feel free to nominate numerous movies from the same director.

@hex need the sticky :blessed:

Alright we have our 10 films to choose from. Using the films most nominated and the posts with the most likes and the films that stand in the highest regards, here are the 10:

2001: A Space Odyssey
Children of Men
Blade Runner 2049
The Revenant
City of God
Barry Lyndon
Apocalypse Now
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Frost
There Will Be Blood
Raging Bull
Belly (decided to add it to the poll)

also @hex could you remove the second Belly option in the poll

HM: In The Mood for Love, The Godfather, Blade Runner, Lawrence of Arabia, Se7en

This requires some serious thought. I'm not going to worry if I miss something out, I'm just going to go off my head:

Casino
Blow Out
Gravity
Dunkirk
Blade Runner or Blade Runner 2049
Once Upon A Time In America
The Third Man
(A Kurosawa flick. You pick.)
Ran
Barry Lyndon (Good call, to the people that mentioned it)
Skyfall

We should have a separate thread too because there are a bunch of movies I like almost entirely because of the visuals but are otherwise quite shallow and one note. All the films I listed are very good films for their story too, and I didn't have the heart to put something like Belly alongside Kubrick, although that movie undeniably looks amazing.
