this was late 90's and me and my homie was walkin thru Audubon Housing Projects (Harlem) at 2 am and spotted this CAC couple walkin thru too like they was in Malibu.....i knew shyt was was a wrap from then on....
when I took the #1 train uptown all the white people would get off at 96th street...they wouldn't dare go past 125th.....then all of a sudden the CACs was gettin off the same stop i was....
When hipster Cacs starting getting off at my stop. It starts off slowly. They go stop by stop as the years go on getting deeper and deeper into the hood.
Now we have luxury units that no one can really afford except the transplants.
Also more cops. Police didn't gaf before now they have a unit stationed right outside the subway every night
When city council started approving random renovation and construction permits for rundown areas (not going to lie I never lived in the hood).
It usually happens a year before construction starts. If you go to those meeting or research those public announcements online you'll know.
Local politics are the most important politics, u gotta stay informed. Plus if you have the scratch you can flip that knowledge into first round investment by buying property in the area for cheap.
