Do you think they’re trying to push people into the eco system?
Nah, I think they are very happy with people coming in at their own pace if they choose to. I do think they purposely didn't announce the price increase here because they want it to appear as attractive as a possible tho.

But it very well could be that they were like nahhhhh we aren't taking the hit on increased cost on hardware that we already losing money on and selling at a loss and someone was like we might as well double down on what Nintendo is doing, and tell em that too. It's hard to be mad at it when you have a cheaper option to play said games if you want them.

At this point you could have 4 months of gamepass for the price of 1 game. :mjlol:

That gamepass price increase is definitely coming

This is it for me. I’m just going to get a gaming laptop and call it day. It’s portable, can play retro gaming and it gets exclusives from Sony and Microsoft. Online is free and alot of games have cross play. I can do my work plus have all my gaming needs met on one device. I know some people would say get a steam deck for portability but the screen is too small and I like gaming with a gamepad.

:ehh:

At some point people will get sick of this and start pushing for real change. Until let the world burn. If you can’t afford to pay a few hundred more for the things you want sorry for you. A lot of people will be priced out of gaming soon because the next high definition console is probably gonna push $800 easy. It is what it is.

I don't think people will be priced out of gaming. I think the industry is going to shoot itself in the foot.

Nintendo is somewhat aware of the direction things are heading in. I think this is why they have such a choke hold on their past titles and are rigorous when it comes to copyright infringement.

The long and short of it is there are 30 years worth of games that stand the test of time. Eventually people are going to start caring less about new releases.
