It happens but, it doesn't even top five percent.

Its called a refund. That doesnt mean you didnt pay any taxes it means you OVER paid taxes and the IRS gave you back the difference.
Its why if your smart you would always try to claim your deductikns to where you either owe a small amount at the end of the year or get a small refund. All these people trying to get that big refund are only giving the goverment and interest free 12 month loan on their own money earned.
And there is some straight up nonsense in this thread. If your able to work and dont and live off goverment assistance, you have no earnings to be taxed, therefore your truly getting free food that everyone who earns above the table is paying for.
Taxes pay for saftey nets and if you dont earn any taxable income then your getting free shyt period.
The people who abuse these programs are the ones that give these nut job republicans a leg to stand on in elections.
