A lot of the regulations in place require fancy setups.

I just hope the bubble bursts sooner rather than later, hopefully there's a glut and decent used car prices plummet. Keep pushing my death trap POS until then.

:sas2: well they better do something chips running out... make a car without the fancy chips that meets safety standards...

Might as well buy from the dealer. Never, I mean EVER, buy a used car from a stranger.
Why not? I've done it. You just need to do your due diligence on what you're buying. (Research on the model, taking it to a mechanic for an inspection, etc)

Hell no. Buying a car without a warranty is a money pit. Especially without regular service check ups with the official Service department.

A cheap mechanic cannot save you from countless repairs.

You're downplaying the mechanic aspect. You bring the car to a mechanic he'll put it on a lift and inspect it from bumper to bumper. He'll tell you the condition of the engine, trans, chassis, suspension and etc. Can't just go into a purchase blindly, that's how you get burned.

Better to spend a couple of thousand more, and go to the official dealership to buy a used car under 30k miles. If anything goes wrong, there is always a warranty. No way I'm buying 3rd party car parts on my whip, just to take financial shortcuts to save a few bucks.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. :manny:

And 3rd party parts are sometimes better designed and engineered in certain cases. Just ask MB and BMW owners with all that cheap plastic that cracks and break under the pressure of a high performance engine and all the heat it holds.

The dealership called me again today to buy my car but I told them I wasn't interested in selling less than three months ago. What I look like trading my paid-off car to get into a 2.0L Turbo SUV for $500@72 months:scust:
