Yeah, like shyt like lack of choice & the game being linear is what I see people saying. I'm like, it's a fukking JRPG. Those are core aspects of the genre.

I guess this might be people's first JRPG, which I get because the genre hit a rough spot during the 360/PS3 gen. Plus, I could easily see people being turned off by Persona because it is very anime. So they skipped that one.

Well that’s the thing. Im playing Like A Dragon Rn and it’s crazy how Japanese people gave their swag away. They should’ve never made JRPGs starring white people. No other country has done that. You got a French JRPG with French people in it. American JRPGs with Americans in it. Like a Dragon damn near better than Final Fantasy because it has actual Japanese people in it. I don’t even know if I can fukk with Kingdom Hearts anymore. A white boy named Riku… smh. Now people noticed they can just make JRPGs starring people of their own country and it’s gonna get eyes just off originality.
