to prop up the 78th tales game to come out :dead:

series is damn near high grade shovelware

Breh keeps going back to them Metacritic averages like they're the be all end all too, as if the whole point of is is that the scores are subjective and need context. Might as well just tell people to check Metacritic in mid-December every year and just pick whatever's top rated in every category, right? :mjlol:

Man a majority of them shyts have overwhelmingly positive on steam because the same people play them every single time and love them as they should its a niche series.

but it has 0 crossover appeal, there are 50 11 titles, and inexplicably half of them are still 60 dollars.

Going by the reviews should be Hades II it's a 94-95 on both Opencritic and Metacritic and the highest the others get are 91-92 at best.

"Hades 2" only has 53 critic reviews vs "E33" at 84 and the user score on "E33" is higher (8.6 vs 9.7).

Not sure why you over looked that context.

I don't even know why this "Trails" sh*t is getting brought up. It would be like discussing the GOAT rapper and somebody tried to shoehorn Immortal Technique into the discussion.

i've fallen out with gaming. will i like E33 if i don't usually play RPGs? I tried to play elden ring and it didnt grab me.

only game i played and beat this year is indiana jones

It’s essentially a JRPG for those who wouldn’t like JRPG’s normally.

Kinda like what Eminem is to rap, E33 is to that sub genre.

This is a show that is said to be ran by game critics. Why wouldn't I look at their collective scores to see if they're in line with the games they are supposed to have nominated?

User score is irrelevant. The nomination committees are all game critics.

Dispatch not getting a nomination for best performance, best narrative, or best independent game is a joke. If it wasn't under consideration then kinda awkward that it's nominated for best debut indie. It couldn't get a single nomination for best performance but 3 different people from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 could? Not gonna lie the only person I remember standing out from the main cast of that game was Maelle.

It's like asking why a Westside Gunn release isn't nominated for Album of the Year or Rap Album of the Year. It's well made, and is great for fans that are into that specific area of the genre, but it's also not something of interest to most people that aren't already into that, and you already have many more of that near exact same thing. It's cool, but not something that you could argue should define the year, be it overall or for its genre.

It’s pretty easy to understand why, because they didn’t give critics all the episodes at once.

Also thats a lie not to include verso, Gustav and Renoir. That is a game filled with above average performances from the supporting cast

This is one of the most bizarre takes I've ever seen. You just described the "Final Fantasy" series for the last 15 years. :mjlol:

Most traditional RPGs writing, music, art direction, etc. fell off a cliff over the last 20 years. "E33" at it's core isn't reinventing the wheel but it does all those things exceptionally well.

That alone is why it's getting the nods these other RPGs aren't.

Long as E33 sweeps that's all that matters, games deserves all the props it gets and then some.:banderas:
All these games highly rated games released this year and Sony published like 2 and grabbed up 19 nominations :mjpls: but it's clear why, especially with one being from kojima.

If E33 wasn't a lock it's clear who would be winning goty again :mjlol:
Ya'll know good and well its going to be The Hideo Kojima Show :russ:
