I had one issue and I got a replacement xbox.

This is more of a preference issue.

You'll need the adapter that they sell separately for $20 at which point you can use any wired headset you want. I went ahead and got the Xbox One stereo head set for $30 (or something like that) on sale and it came with the adapter. They sound decent, no where near as good as the Sony golds, but they work fine.

I own the sony golds and the Xbox one stereo headset and have had many hours of use with both. The sony golds sound better and the VSS does a great job at simulating surround sound. The XBOX ones don't suck...the golds are just better.

yes. or if you wait for the new controller, you wont need the adapter at all. This is currently the case with PS4 controllers. You can use ANY wired headset

I've heard the exact opposite about the VSS bruh.
And the VSS (which is stereo) is something done on the system level for the Golds, and is considered TERRIBLE from pretty much everyone in the industry. Check literally any audio website, google it

Does that shyt even work? All I hear is a beep when I raise the volume. I decided to try the cod on multi since I already had beat the campaign and i get zero sound. Either nobody is talking during the match or the headset is crap.
