so for years, I had what I thought was a "brilliant" idea for a tv show. I won't get into all the details, but it centered on a character named Peter (hint) and it was set in a really working class, not quite paradise version of heaven. I researched the hell out of it, and just couldn't figure out the exact story i wanted for the pilot. I named it "A Better Place" and let if collect e-dust... then i saw this trailer.
(i know, I'm no one, it doesn't matter, but i'm still salty b/c even if i write it now, they're gonna think i copied this in many ways, and i'm mocking it with the title.)

Show premieres tonight, following The Voice with 2 episodes.
Then it moves into its regular time slot this Thursday.
I have it set on my DVR and plan to check it out.

Just finished watching and it was alright, more amusing in spots than laugh out loud funny. I'll keep watching for a bit to see how it develops, the premise has potential to go some fun places.

3 years ago I helped write and shoot a commercial idea for smirnoff vodka, they rejected our proposal though. 3 years later i saw basically the exact same add on TV for smirnoff lol. Wish i knew what happened with that.
