I had an ex girlfriend who would google symptoms and diagnose herself. Then when doctors said she was wrong, she would just get different opinions because she just knew google was right. bytch thought she had brain cancer because she got vertigo. :martin:
I don't think i would have the patience. Have a disagreement and you provided all reasonable answers to her questions and she staring up at the ceiling before bed and still brings up she might still have cancer even after doctor checked her out.

I used to date a hypochondriac that was bad about that shyt. She'd give herself asthma attacks after reading symptoms, thinking it was the end of the world. Headache? Brain tumor. Stomach ache? Ulcer. What's worse is she didn't even have no fukking asthma:snoop:

Ass used to suck in air, gasping and shyt like a nut. I had to stop reacting to that shyt.

Yeah we broke up over it. She would go to the emergency room every couple weeks over dumb shyt and then call me to come with her. I didn't go, she got pissed and we broke up.

The underlying mechanism to hypochondriacs and netdiagnowitalls is quite interesting. It highlights a fundamental need for validation and indirect attention which often stems back to unfulfilled childhood needs combined with feelings of being inadequate in the present.

Of course if you ask them they'd deny both counts but their actions say otherwise. Must be irritating as hell being a doctor these days...

I remember in college I raw dogged a chick for the first time. Well a month or so later, my lymph nodes got swollen and I had the flu. I googled that shyt and it was the first symptoms of HIV. I legit thought for like 6 months that I caught HIV but was too afraid to get tested. Finally I did and was :whew:
What was the lymph nodes swollen for then?

I've had issues with health anxiety and this not true at all for me.

You definitely can. But you have to proceed with caution. A lot of symptoms through online research leads to major diseases/disorders.

If you're the type that has issues with anxiety, stress, depression, etc. searching symptoms online is probably the worst thing you can do.
