actually miles and coltrane didn't start making music til the 50's and 60's, the great gatsby is set in the 20's so duke ellington and louis armstrong would've been some of the popular jazz at the time

Agreed. I knew that, that's why I said "type shyt". I really didn't know who was popular during that time period, so I used the people I did know for a comparison as to what I thought the soundtrack would sound like.
