The table was pretty much set up for him to do whatever he wanted.

He spent his whole career there getting overshadowed by the 2-sport superstar Drew Henson and ended up getting drafted late in the 6th round, 199th overall to a team that subsequently designated him as their fourth string QB.
And yet it's the welfare cheat that cheers for Privileged Manning because he's a "man's man" who you can "crack open a cold one with" (because he has a southern accent and does family friendly commercials) while turning around and hating on Brady because he's too much of an "elitist" and a "pretty boy" (for wearing uggs and marrying a supermodel)
