Ak's opinion towards Drake is more of a love and hate dynamic IMO. It's because he invested so much emotionally into him as a fan growing him, but he hates a lot of shyt Drake does and hates that Drake doesn't come on his platform. They do exchange messages BTS which only adds to him being mentally torn about him.

There are times when Akademiks goes out of his way to cover negative news or rumors about Drake. It could be argued that Ak and Drake are both trying to keep a leash on each other.

If the resentment keeps building up, it could blow up in Drake's face. It might not be obvious to Drake, but Ak holds the cards. Someday Ak is gonna get tired of the games.

It's simple. Akademiks started off as a Youtube blogger. Every time he covered Drake, his views and by extension money, shot up. Every time he covered other rappers, crickets. Drake was receptive to the coverage and let him get his foot through the door instead of rappers like Nipsey and Vic Mensa that tried to bully him out of the industry. Ak definitely feels like he owes Drake loyalty for that. Can't even be faulted. There was a time when Drake was far ahead everyone else in relevance.
