As one of the replies said in that tweet there will still be acrimony about how a party has sold out its position in order to be in a coalition. The difference with the American system is that those differences are supposed to be hashed out before not after the Government is formed. The Lib Dems in the UK faced this when they got into the coalition with Conservatives and some people criticized the current Conservatives for doing the same with the DUP and using state money to buy them off. The worst part about proportional parliamentary systems worldwide might just be how they choose their leaders, it is mostly membership only and resembles a lot of the behind the scenes smoke filled room stuff that Americans in recent times don't like about primaries. It would allow people to vote their conscience but they would still face the same outcome when some Green party has no choice but to join those same centrists Democrats to be able to govern.

The vote difference in this race wouldn't even be made up if you put all the Green's on the Dem column anyway.

People are voting Green, in Ohio, in August... those are people you probably will never have vote Dem
