The "haha" smiley dap working when it feels like it unappreciation

Is it just me or do other people have this same problem? Almost all the time I have trouble selecting the laughing dap vs the regular dap.

Sometimes I don't agree with a post but it makes me laugh so I want to give it a lol dap, not a regular dap!

Smh maybe it's just me and this funky ass iOS 16 upgrade which has ruined a lot of my phone's features.
