The HBCU Graduation "Show" Appreciation Thread

Any of yall who went to an HBCU graduation ceremony know the deal.

nikkatry at it's finest. I've never seen so much two stepping, hop stepping, holy ghosting in my life. Them shyts is good comedy. Granted, it might take 5 hours to 20 nikkaz to go through due to their routines, but that shyt is hilarious.


I swear nikkaz practice their routines before graduation. Got one to goto in 2 months.

I been to a good amount of HBCU graduations....and I didn't see this. I actually saw more graduation antics at the graduation of predominately white schools.

Went to one at Morris Brown and



I aint even mad, but it's some good comedy. Nothing wrong with nikkaz being happy about a fam member graduating.

Saw one nikka bear hug the Dean and then you heard a loud ass nikka shouting "DAT'S MY nikka RIGHT THERE YALL, HE DID IT!!!"

couldn't even be mad. Dude did have the face as he left the stage though knowing that everyone heard that shyt.

that must have been over 10 years ago...that school ain't been functioning (I don't think) in about that time..

Lot of holy ghosting and frat and sorority calls......but overall folks are pretty regal and calm with it...its just the family and friends that really make it a little wild.....but then like was said PWIs are just as raucous so......

It was... I graduated GT in '01.

I think it's funnier/more entertaining when it's your own people so you can relate somewhat more.

Anyway, just a question, do black fraternities and sororities allow non-black students to join? Just curious.

yes, at my school I know a white Sigma, several white girls that has pledged. and an ole school white Kappa that reps hard for my chapter now.
