The HBCU Graduation "Show" Appreciation Thread

OK.
I went to a regular university. There was a black fraternity and I didn't see any non-black brothers. When I saw a black dude at the gym with a branding on his arm, I didn't know what it was about, I was too chicken to ask what happened to his arm. After finding out, I had no interest in joining a black fraternity because I was a big chicken at the time and did not want to get branded.
Coming from a predominantly white town and going to a big city, I never knew black fraternities existed at the time. There were a bunch of white fraternities and I did not have an interest in them either.
And uh, most of the sorority girls that I saw weren't hot. Not that I'm a Rico Suave, but they weren't.

I had to look up what HBCU meant. Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Anyway, just a question, do black fraternities and sororities allow non-black students to join? Just curious.

Yea there's asian kappas at my school but i goto a PWI so it'll probably be more frequent there. I also went to high school with an indian cat whose now a sigma at howard

Yea I was gonna say this but the way this nikka talking he wouldnt have been about that pledge life anyways. One of my older bros was on-line to be a que...some nikka on his line ended up "snitching" just b4 they crossed, whole chapter gets banned/suspended/probation or whatever it is the school does

I went to one at Spelman when I was a kid but haven't been since.

The one at Auburn was aight. Vandy's was OK but that's because they had that thing after where they serve everyone powered sugar strawberries and orange juice.

Where I goto school I think you're in the minority if you get branded lol, I dont see to many black greeks branded but then again I goto a PWI.

If you know the process them nikkas go through then getting branded is the least you have to worry about.

Oh yeah, I was 17 at the time and didn't really know until later... that the male to female student ratio was 7 to 1.


Oh, well at the time, I didn't think joining a fraternity was important. I'm a different person now, it would have been interesting to join a black fraternity. But what I was back then, I don't think I would have had an easy time fitting in. I think I would have been labeled as an Asian c00n, if such a thing exists.

Where did you go....again Morris Brown aint (or now wasn't ) the upper echelon of HBCUs anyway. You didn't see that kind of fukkery at your more prestigious ones.
