It is crazy... I remember in 5th grade buying GTA 1 w/ the London expansion pack at Funcoland without knowing anything about it... I got hooked and would follow every countdown to each release after that. Probably the only game i've ever done that for...

gta 1 was fun but gta 2 took it to another level the whole gang rating thing and seeing gangs fight each other ..that was my first instance of sandbox gaming i was freaking 9

Yeah GTA 2 definitely was the first GTA where the city felt like it had a life of its own... Even each car handled differently...

yo same here!! didn't know how to past the first city..i just kept playing until i got a million dollars then boom leveld up..and man i hated loonies they had the corniest looking cars...yakuza gang or die

I've been saying they should make GTA: London and have the casts of Lock, Stock and 2 Barrells and Snatch as voice actors in the game... specifically Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham as the main characters, would be some international fukkery

first GTA game I played was GTA3.


The first 2 games just never appealed to me and looked garbage compared to other games out at the time.


first GTA came out during the PS1 era where we had Tekken, Crash Bandicoot, Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil etc so it wasn't getting any burn from me with those primitive visuals it had


GTA II came out during the dreamcast era ,wasn't nobody gonna put down Sonic Adventure, Shenmue, NBA 2K and NFL 2k to play that sh1t man.



GTA III came out and changed the entire gaming industry tho







Game is in the same league of importance to gaming history as say Super Mario Bros, Pong or Pacman.
