Someone else already brought up "Like It Is." According to Wiki "Like It" Is didn't stop airing till 2011 the same year Hidden Colors dropped. "Like It Is" was on Channel 7 every Sunday since the 60's for the regular degulars. And just like Like It Is, only people who were interested in that specific type of Black subject matter were checking for Hidden Colors. Hidden Colors wasn't a super mainstream phenomenon yet you and that troll are talking like it had a wave similar to the movie Sinners. Hidden Colors was in that urban documentary realm and never crossed over passed that. BET never played it one time. Nor did it appear on cable or regular TV like PBS. Again, prior to Hidden Colors, the movie Hotel Rwanda had the Rwanda Genocide convo popping. Last King Of Scotland gave insight into Idi Amin and Blood Diamonds had a wave where people were stressing whether or not "conflict diamonds" should be supported. And like I said these movies won awards so saying Africa was never a topic prior to Hidden Colors is a lie.
