any advice to someone like me who wants to start mixing tracks?
what do i need and shyt like that..... id spin Young Thug and Blu and Uzi vert and red pill/oddisee , would be unique imo.

The best advice I can give you is to master the fundamentals, take it serious and have respect for the artform... Learn from other experienced DJs and don't be afraid to ask questions... Go see DJs live... Before you even buy turntables or a controller figure out HOW you're going to learn and get better... I'm only 6 months in and I JUST started figuring out my style and getting comfortable with beatmatching, phrasing, transitions, EQing, etc and I still need work... And once you start getting the hang of things and feeling yourself (it will happen) realize that you really don't know shyt, lol... Just a couple weeks ago I was feelin myself, not really practicing as much... Listened to an old school Larry Levan set and halfway thru thought to myself "I have A LOT of work to do"... Now I'm back on my game

If you want to jump right into it you're gonna need:
A pair of turntables or controller
Decent headphones
DJ software
Determination

If you can afford turntables I would say start off with that... I have a controller now but I'm saving up for a pair of Technic 1200s and a mixer because I want to get more into the turntablism side of things


@1984 and @Soundbwoy have been at it longer than me so they should be able to give you more advice if you're serious
