This piece of crap is an abomination. Another day another update for some software vulnerability that let's someone hijack your computer. I don't understand why this junk is still forced on us.

Poor advice. If you don't want to update it then remove it so hackers can't use it against you.

I figured OP knew enough to uninstall it, but you have a point.

You could also totally disable it in 'Options' and/or regedit, then uninstall it.....or vice-versa.

he probably knows but theres a lot of people on here that probably dont and would just ignore new versions. but i think the OPs point more was that flash is too insecure to be so mainstream rather than complaining about the upgrade process.

It's not going anywhere anytime soon. Maybe for personal use, but not for corporate. Most of my clients are still using ie9 or lower.
