First and foremost, Im not bothered by it and feel its weird for an athlete to not be a bit delusional about their skills. What makes it hilarious is how they feel they still have it after theyve retired. Case in point….. Paul Pierce.

:heh:

Another entry would be Freddie Mitchell. :russ: that dude’s irrational confidence meter was off the Richter scale.

Cavs coming back from being down 3-1 vs a 72 win team opened my eyes to the audacious levels of confidence that these elite athletes have.

After being down like that my ass woulda been like… “well uhh, let’s go ahead and start preparing for next season…:francis:

LeBron and those fellas were like “we can still get this…just gotta win one game at a time :demonic:

I need footage of 48 year old Jim Brown loudly claiming he could beat Franco Harris in a race and then getting smoked while pulling a hammy.

I dunno if anything can beat Ricky Davis, but I was reminded of these two.

The Heat didn't even play Wade in Game 4, they load-managed him in the PLAYOFFS and still swept. :laff:

"Jennings, who had guaranteed the Bucks would win the series in six games, finished with three points on 1-of-7 shooting and had two turnovers."

The classic lines from dudes on the tail sides of their careers entering training camp:

“I’m in the best shape of my life!

(No, you’re not. If you were a car, you’d have at least 150k miles on you.:flabbynsick:)

“This is the best I’ve felt in years!

(That’s because you haven’t been playing. Your body had time to rest and recover. You’ll feel like shyt again after playing 5 minutes.:flabbynsick:)

“I was very conscious of what I was putting in my body. I really worked on my diet!

(Your metabolism ain’t what it used to be. No more 4am pizzas for you!:flabbynsick:)
