In a league where offenses dominate I'm not giving it to Watt.

As great as Watt is his teams 500 and he's on a defense ranked in the 20's in today's nfl you can't compare the impact a great qb has on his team to a defensive player.

The way people talk about this guy you'd think he's Reggie White and LT rolled into one player yet his impact is so little compared to Qbs that his presence hasn't even made the Texans d mediocre :mjlol:

I agree only because I'm tired of the Texans putting this dude in on goal line situations trying to pad his TD total and boost his MVP campaign.
OMG he has 2 reception TDs what a player!! :usure: Like teams haven't been passing to random linemen at the goal line for years.
Dude is not an offensive weapon, I don't care how many 1 yard touchdown he catches.

Defensively he is legit though.

that catch he had on a fade route was ridiculous

OP and the 2nd poster in this thread havent seen JJ Watt play this season outside of highlights:snoop:

:what: I never said he isn't a great player my point is a defensive player doesn't impact his team anywhere near the level a great qb does.

As good as he us his team isn't good and his own defense is ranked in the 20's

I just watched him destroy the Browns offensive line single handedly on Sunday while lining up all over the line. HOF LT Joe Thomas couldnt even stop him.

He definitely is a MVP candidate (even though he wont win) and deserves the "Reggie White" comparisions he receives

I live in Houston, they are the local team.
I'm sorry that subbing linemen in on goal line situations isn't impressive to me.
Indy just did that shyt on Sunday, didn't see me yelling OMG Anthony Costanzo offensive red zone monster.

I'm not shytting on his defensive play at all.

He's getting the MVP consideration for his dominance on defense....not offense.

If you live there, and watch him play every Sunday, you know he's definitely the best DLineman we've seen in a long time breh:manny:

Are you slow?

Did you not see where I said in my first post that he is legit defensively and was only speaking on his offensive TDs, that seem to me like an attempt to artificially boost his MVP campaign?

Why are you out here creating strawman arguments for no reason, I'm not going to get into a debate with you about JJ Watt being the best DLineman in the league. I already know that.

You're being stupid, because you're using his OFFENSE as the reason why they are even discussing him (or "boosting him") as a MVP candidate when it's not:ufdup:

He's being considered a MVP candidate for his dominance on DEFENSE. That's what the OP was talking about and you come out of nowhere talking about offense:camby:

You created a strawman argument fool, because you created a debate no one was having and the OP didnt even bring up :snoop:

LWO
Demarco Murray

1233 rushing
40+ receptions
3 tackles

:russ:
But nah not enough tackles.. Maybe if he had some pass deflections too.

Side note: fukk Demarco "I can only run in a straight line" Murray. Hate watching that dude carry the rock, but I'm not gonna say he's not killing it this year either. :yeshrug:
