I started a tax practice this past season but I held on to my job because I knew I wasn't going to have a big enough book of business to just up and leave. I been a night auditor for 2.5 years. Associates degree and 10 + years of management experience yet I keep getting hit with the I'm over qualified. If I dumb down my resume I get offered bullshyt entry level wages. North Jersey also has the worst type of cac's (jews/Italians) so as a black man with a muslim name I'm screwed.
When I moved here in 2005 the job market was
now its
They got most of the employees at my job either part time or on call so they don't have to pay overtime. I got job security here but there is zero upward mobility. I done started looking at jobs in new York but then I gotta worry about the commute plus the extra taxes. I can't see myself living here for more than 2 to 3 more years.
