The real money isn't in small sponsors though. "Me undies" isn't paying tens of thousands of dollars for a podcast advertisement. And right now, dilution of their podcast with ads vs. the couple thousand they would have to split per episode probably isn't worth it. Whenever a podcast I listen to has ads, I'm immediately hitting that +:15 until I can hear the ad is up. Right now the JBP is on fire and slowing it down for a small check is not worth it. Their content is really good. Rory is working with Roc Nation in two different ways, Mal isn't hurting, Joe isn't hurting, so it's best that they don't sell out for small checks.

They are getting money from youtube for their viewership...the long push is going to a revolt or tidal or partnering with some major broadcasting company.

Rory and Parks are ruining this podcast. They keep forcing these corny ass jokes fukking up the flow of the show to try and get a laugh. I hated this weeks podcast. I still need to check out Afterthoughts. Hopefully it can save it.

You’d be shocked how much people are getting for podcast ads w enough listeners. Big podcasts can get $25-$40 per thousand listens for 60 second ads. If you’re averaging 300k at $30 per thousand is 12k. That would ad up quick.

The only money they make is by promoting stuff they're doing. Rory has Dussepalooza plus whatever Tidal money he's getting for his playlist. Joe does his residency thing with Highline Ballroom (Oh What A Night). And whatever merch sales they get.

Take a lesson from the read they are fukking amazing at doing ads .

Charlemagne said they get over a six figures easily doing ads and that was years ago .

The reads audience is far bigger now so I know they caking crazy .

They also do live shows every couple months .

The funny thing is them bullshytting with the ads makes them much more memorable as long as they ain't coming out saying "who would pay for this bullshyt" like they did with the text therapist.
