Was Jonestown a CIA Experiment? — Malden Public Library

:jbhmm:
A work of investigative journalism that presents the theory that the Central Intelligence Agency employed the Reverend Jim Jones to administer a pharmaceutical field test in mind control and ethnic weaponry to a large test group, namely the membership of the Peoples Temple. The text proposes that Dr. Laurence Layton (former Chief of the U.S. Army's Chemical and Biological Warfare Division) cultured the AIDS virus to be tested and deployed in a CIA-backed experiment in Jonestown, Guyana.

there is no conspiracy

a lot of those people were forced and outright killed

conspiracy theories only exist as a cover for white supremacist sociopathy
You would still have to ask yourself as to why people would out of the blue uproot and leave their family's like they did at the drop of a dime. Preachers have game and a silver tongue but not that extent

You have to look at the larger picture and where society was at that point in time culturally

what was in it for these people, and specifically, who these people were and what they believed in

go to the sources themselves directly

I get what you saying but your wrong. They go after a specific type of person. Thats how cults are able to still thrive
