CAA runs the team....as long as MSG is booking artists and filling Dolans pockets JR Smith will do whatever he wants.

The Knicks make the Jets look like the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He's a decent head coach....too many faults to be considered good. Doesnt know offensive personnel at all.

:snoop:

The Knicks haven't won a title in 30 years because they're in perpetual win now mode, and when you're saddled with bad management that can be a disaster. That's why the Knicks handed over 100 million to Amare (without insurance), a 3 year contract to JR Smith (coming off knee surgery), and gut the roster to get Carmelo Anthony. They forfeited the future to add players that were overpaid and/or fugazi.

Draft picks do matter because in a league mandated by the salary cap, young cheap talent is gold. They're easy trade assets and if they're good, they save cap room which can be used to get other players in free agents. Andre Drummond is grabbing double-doubles every night and the Pistons only pay him 2.5 million this year. That's a godsend.
