Was just listenin to this and for all this time I just thought
"He finally made it, hip hop did save him. He was about to go back to sellin drugs but his record made it but then I just thought...hold up. Was this really a happy ending to this track? Lupe seems to clown the character's song in the beginning, calls it weak, makes it seem like it's your stereotypical track dudes makin these days without substance but it still gets played implying that there may not be longevity to it.
Was this a story of triumph or a false sense of security for dude holdin his newborn baby with a bright big smile?
