What's the deal(backlash) on Ellie and Abby casting?
Also, I found these 2 episodes quite rushed. Abby was introduced, somehow found her in remarkable convenient position to find Joel, and completed her mission in record time.

Ellie - she doesnt look like game ellie
Abby - she doesnt have muscles like she does in the game.
That basically sums up all the whining you see about he casting.

I'm not even talking about the later group. Just how the story never made sense in the very beginning and you're not a white incel for thinking so. They killed a PlayStation icon and not even in a meaningful way.
I don’t understand why punish devs for taking narrative risks though? Playstation and gaming in general has a thousand bearded white men, he ain’t kratos.
I imagine that Joel was killed off before Game of Thrones was a thing outside of a small niche? Probably explains the controlled reaction from the public in 2025 vs whenever Joel originally died.
If you'd killed the Master Chief off in 2003 I probably would've been on a warpath too. Few stories are written with actual consequences.

I’ve said it before but Naughty Dog could’ve definitely played it safe. And gave us another fire Ellie and Joel adventure. While also giving Joel a generic hero’s death lol. 
But I’m glad they didn’t because they gave us something better.

Bella Ramsey looks absolutely nothing like video game Ellie.
Kaitlyn Dever isn't muscular like video game Abby (she looks like Abby otherwise).
I haven't played the second game, but based on what I've seen/read, yes. Joel gets killed early on in The Last of Us Part II.
TLOU Part 2 came out during covid....GOT came out when i was in college lol. Like several years before the game released
