It's obvious that all rationality goes out of the window when Obama puts his foot down or speaks strongly about an issue (unless it's Israel 
), so as someone who wants the protests in Ferguson to keep momentum, I'm glad he had that weak statement. I bet you he knows this too, but let's not even get into that.
Even if he did speak strongly, it'd be a nice gesture but
still speaking to the choir. If he made some obvious, strong power play and thumped his chest about it on TV, you know damn well the shytstorm that would follow.
Obviously, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes, and though Obama's been disappointing for a lot of us, let's not forget what his background is. You don't community organize in Chicago if you give no fukks about black people. You don't make a statement like he did about Trayvon unless that shyt does hit home. Let's not lose sight of this brehs. For all we know, he very well could be making things happen behind the scenes. Give him some credit, and more importantly, give the resolve of the protesters more credit.
