If there’s a black-owned business thread, y’all need to remove this bakery from y’all lists now. It was a family business and they just sold it?! To cacs??!?

I am thoroughly disgusted they sold it to fukking cacs man. Now crackers are coming in and buying up shyt they wouldn’t have brought from the previous owners. shyt pisses me off that we can go from momma’s cooking to bland shyt overnight. And I hope it falls off too :pacspit:

Edit: Michaela’s Bakery

Seems like some random ass bakery but I do think now with apps showing Black own biz and different benefits, the new hustle will be Whites buying them and keeping the black owned image up /w a few hourly workers.

With a strengething and more discriminate black dollar, they know we won’t buy the 40 with Elon Musk face on it anymore but if its a red black and green BHM edition we will.

stay woke

OP, I had ChatGPT write a short screenplay about your experience.

FADE IN:

INT. BAKERY - DAY

The bakery is bustling with customers, but one stands out - a middle-aged black man, JAMES, who looks around with a sense of nostalgia. He approaches the counter, where a white man, PETER, stands behind the register.

JAMES:

Excuse me, can I help you?

PETER:

Yes, I used to come here all the time when it was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Johnson.

PETER:

Ah, yes. They retired a few years ago and I bought the business from them.JAMES:
I see. Well, I hope you're keeping up the same quality of baking.

PETER:

Of course. We still use the same recipes and ingredients.

JAMES:

Good. I'll take a dozen of those glazed donuts and a pound of that coffee.

PETER:

Sure thing. That'll be $12.

JAMES hands over the money and takes his purchases, but he can't shake the feeling of disappointment.

INT. JAMES' CAR - DAY

James sits in his car, staring at the bakery. He remembers the good times he had there with his family and friends, and how it used to be a staple of the black community.

JAMES:

(to himself) It's just not the same anymore.

INT. BAKERY - DAY

James returns to the bakery a few days later, but this time he brings a group of other middle-aged black men with him. They approach Peter at the counter.

JAMES:

We want to talk to you about the bakery.

PETER:

Sure, what can I help you with?

JAMES:

We're disappointed to see that a white man now owns a business that used to be black-owned. It's important for us to have businesses in our community that reflect us and our culture.

PETER:

I understand where you're coming from, but I assure you that I'm committed to maintaining the same quality and traditions as the previous owners.

JAMES:

We appreciate that, but we also want to see more representation and support for black-owned businesses. Can you offer any discounts or promotions for our community?

PETER:

I can definitely look into that. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
The group of men nod in approval and continue to discuss ideas with Peter on how to better support and promote black-owned businesses in the community.

FADE TO BLACK.
