Of course, if you're a burger flipper, you can always find work. No disrepect to you, breh.

We're talking about Black professionals.
Doesn’t matter, the city is dirt cheap...anything you do here for a check will pay your rent :yeshrug: you nikkas exaggerating...I had a 2 bedroom apartment in east point for $680... $680 in Miami will get you a broom closet :lolbron: ATL not one of those “you have to be on point before you move there “ cities...it’s a dirt cheap southern city...

I never understood how a city with less than half a million people was considered a black Mecca.

It’s better cities down south for blacks.
Atlanta isn't a 2 million person city its still 50-60 percent black.
The Atlanta metro area is damn near 6 million people. Your post is like limiting NYC to Manhattan
Isn't the metro area whiter than the city proper?

I moved to the A from Charlotte with a BS. Couldn't get a good job in Charlotte, so I moved to Atlanta with $400 to my name, with one of my best friends (who is a skilled professional).

Couldn't get a decent gig here yet either:francis:

However moving here has been nothing but a positive growth experience for me. Im making more money here than I ever did back in Charlotte:ehh:

And Ive gotten allot of job looks, whether it be wage slaving, call center, or insurance, none of these looks were happening for me in Charlotte:manny:

At the moment Im working a trade job, saving my money, bout to get my certs up, bout to get a good whip, and ditch this roomate shyt:manny:

All in all ATL, and Georgia have been good to me, even tho it hasn't given me much, it has made me self reliant:ehh:

If you trying to grind and make yourself a better person, ATL is definitely a good place to start, better than moving to Cali or NYC, failing, and getting fukked:yeshrug:

Atlanta went from 60% black in the 90s to 51% black today. It’s gone be the NYC of the south.

Unless Atlanta posters can tell us they're being priced out of the city and into the suburbs then nah not really. And NYC has never been majority black.
:what: People ARE being priced out of the city. I moved to the WORST part of College Park for a year (Old Nat/Godby) because Vinings (North ATL) raised the rents for the new Braves stadium.

I'm back in the northside now but everyone understands the divide of I-20. All the "good" jobs are in Alpharetta. My job was in Kennesaw. The drive from CP (next to the airport) to there was brutal.
