I mean if you have the time to do all this i see no problem with it. Most people don't have the knowledge or the patience.
Just last weekend I had my lower control arms and ball joints replaced on my car.
They wanted $480 a piece for the lower controls arms because they were going to be OEM.
I went on amazon and bought the lower control arms and the ball joints for $155 and just had them install both. Labor ended up being $400
Had to get an alignment done afterwards and Had lifetime alignment at brake check: Free

It doesn't have anything wrong with it, as far as I know. I'm not a mechanic, but I think it runs fine. I wouldn't try to to ride it out the state , though. Its the definition of an "A to B" car. Inbox me if you in the city.
